The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance of the facility and repair of equipment for Neiman Marcus Direct, the company's catalog and on-line division. Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as high mechanical aptitude is essential.  The schedule for this role will be: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Hours may vary based on business requirements.
 
Position Summary
  • Maintaining conveyor, rail, lighting, air (HVAC), plumbing, and emergency power systems to optimize run time and minimize down time.
  • Maintaining material handling equipment including conveyors and forklift/reach trucks.
  • Maintaining equipment records and history logs through Servidyne Maintenance System.
  • Performing general building maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting pneumatic controls and electrical systems.
  • Performs additional tasks as required.

Job Requirements

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance.  Previous experience in a distribution center, fulfillment center, warehouse, and/or manufacturing setting a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with knowledge of and experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing conveyors and forklifts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Technical education / training.
  • Ability and aptitude to learn new skills through on-the-job experience as well as through formal and informal training.
Essential Physical Requirements
  • Lifting objects weighing up to 25 lbs from the floor to over-head level.
  • Lifting objects weighing up to 45 lbs from the floor to waist.
  • Continuous/frequent walking or standing for long periods of time. 
  • Continuous/frequent pushing or pulling heavy carts, up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in varying physical environments, including heights and outside weather.
