Your Role 

As a Contract Manager in Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, you will lead contract execution and lifecycle management across the organization. This includes negotiating and redlining legal agreements with suppliers, developing and implementing contract best practices and partnering with our teams to execute contracts.  You will communicate with multiple levels and teams in the organization, and with suppliers.

What You’ll Do

           Manage and provide end-to-end guidance on Contract Management for category managers, team members, and Legal

           Review, negotiate, and complete commercial agreements

           Provide redlined recommendations on standard/nonstandard contracts using knowledge of contract law and terminology across main risk areas such as limitation of liability, indemnification, intellectual property rights, licensing, warranty, confidentiality, information security/data privacy/PII, and audit rights.

           Negotiate directly with suppliers

           Manage routine contractual matters unaided and work with NMG Legal on more complex issues

           Proactively collaborate with our teams (Legal, Finance, Data Privacy) to ensure the contracts align with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

           Partner with the team to manage competing demands to meet deadlines

           Be a proficient and daily user of NMG’s contract management system (Conga) for purposes of managing workflow, tracking contracts, providing metrics, and retaining accurate contract records

           Partner with SS&P and Legal to implement contracting best practices, including contract templates with the best contract language, clearly defined scopes, appropriate performance measures, and penalties.

What You Bring

           6 – 7+ years of experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts

           Demonstrated knowledge of commercial contract terms and conditions, can navigate contract management procedures.

           Demonstrated experience in comprehensive contract reviews, specializing in the identification and evaluation of potential risk areas

           Understand parameters set by Legal for modifying contract language to facilitate contract negotiations between the business and suppliers

           Experience engaging and resolving open matters
