Category Manager, Supply Chain – Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
As a Category Manager in Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, you’ll partner with business stakeholders to develop and execute category strategies to bring value to the business. This includes leading strategic sourcing events; writing and negotiating contract terms; leading and supporting supplier performance management; and, analyzing spend associated with specific indirect spend categories. You will communicate with multiple levels in the organization to foster internal and external relationships.

What You’ll Do
· Manage supplier performance and relationships to ensure our expectations are met
· Simultaneously lead multiple sourcing projects, including building successful sourcing strategies, driving strategic improvements, and delivering on operational targets, savings goals, and business strategies
· Conduct total cost modeling and sensitivity/scenario analysis to help team members understand trade-offs and benefits to multiple outcomes
· Help with the analysis and planning for multiple components of indirect spend categories to ensure operational success and results
· Use sourcing tools to support departmental efforts to refine and improve procurement processes and policies
· Develop and manage relationships with business stakeholders and provide regular project status updates
· Partner with multiple corporate functions (e.g., Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Legal) as part of your sourcing projects and related activities
· You will take ownership of projects and bring them to completion understanding that the results will have an impact on the department's goals
What You Bring
· BS/BA degree preferably in supply chain management, engineering, or business
· 7+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing with experience in Transportation, Distribution, and Imports (small parcel, LTL, TL, etc.)
· Demonstrated capabilities of developing/implementing category strategies, leading sourcing projects, contract negotiations and authoring, and driving savings/value
· Strong relationship-building, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, motivational, and influencing skills; coordination across related disciplines and with key stakeholders
· Experience coordinating teams, collecting insights, and constructively challenging team members with conventional thinking
· Understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes, sourcing tools, and strategies
