Your Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager for Personalized Recommendations to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of personalized recommendation strategies, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and data-driven strategies to enhance the customer experience and drive business growth. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our personalization efforts across the board, including online and marketing channels, promotions, and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and operationalize machine learning models for personalized content and product recommendations using data science, for both marketing emails/promotions and online recommendations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, promotions, loyalty, data science, and product development, to gather and utilize customer data effectively for model training and optimization.
· Utilize customer segmentation and behavioral insights to create highly personalized content, product recommendations, and communication strategies through machine learning techniques.
· Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of personalized recommendations and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
· Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technology tools while focusing on operationalization of machine learning models to ensure our strategies remain innovative and competitive for both marketing promotions and online recommendations.
· Lead a team of professionals in the implementation of recommendation algorithms, A/B testing, and data-driven marketing initiatives, utilizing AWS Sagemaker, AWS Bedrock, AWS Lambdas, and AWS Glue.
· Develop and manage a budget for personalization and recommendation initiatives.
· Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices for data security.
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
· At least 8 years of industry experience in software engineering.
· 2+ years of proven experience in cloud-native serverless technologies and personalized recommendation strategies, with a strong understanding of operationalization of machine learning models.
· 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud computing technologies including AWS Lambdas, EC2, S3, EventBridge Kinesis, and Glue, or equivalents in Google Cloud or Azure.
· Familiarity with relevant tools, including AWS Sagemaker, AWS Sagemaker Jumpstart, AWS Bedrock, and AWS Rekognition.
· Familiarity with AWS Personalize is a plus.
· Exceptional project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
