DESCRIPTION
As a seasoned leader, the Vice President/Divisional Merchandise Manager directs the merchandising function of the division and is directly responsible for the financial performance.

Develop seasonal merchandise strategies and construct financial plans to meet company profit objectives
- Recruit, train and develop the buying staff, making appropriate organizational structure recommendations based on individual talents. Support internal career path development
- Ensure maximum performance relating to sales volume and gross margin opportunities in all categories within the division, including the BG Magazine
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels, currency standards and promote inventory control standards for the division
- Impart appropriate taste level and standards to all aspects of the merchandise selection process, including merchandise strategy and the execution of visual and interior concepts
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7-10 years' progressive merchandising experience within multiple product categories in a retail environment, most recently at a senior level
- Outstanding financial, management, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or a minimum of 7-10 years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
