We seek top talent for a high-visibility role to join the team to drive the iOS Mobile Application capabilities, building the next generation of Customer Facing Mobile apps that inspire our Best Customers to engage with the brand.
 
Continue the journey to make the highly acclaimed and innovative Associate Facing app (iSell) to make our 5000 sales associates even more successful in engaging their customers and leveraging the 360 view of Customers, Products and Neiman Marcus to provide service to customers.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide proven knowledge in iOS application functionality and limitations including Objective C, Swift, cocoa framework, core data and other native API integration
  • Produce high quality iOS code that satisfies both the business functional requirements as well as non-functional requirements
  • Believe test-driven development is the only way to go, and either it is already second nature for you or you are eager to become a master
  • Architect solutions across the value stream and multiple domains to ensure consistent designs and models throughout the product portfolio
  • Collaborate with other architects, developers, product owners, and web services developers to produce the best applications possible
  • Provide frameworks and code snippets to coach, mentor, and increase team productivity and capability
  • Perform code and design reviews
  • Work closely with product owners to understand and satisfy business requirements
  • Are experienced and happy in a fast-moving, continuous flow development environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of hands on experience in iOS development with latest iOS SDKs
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle in a Scrum environment and experience working in a Scrum team with rapid iterations of products

  • Memory management in iOS
  • Block programming concepts and practices
  • Concurrency, GCD and NSOperation concepts and practices
  • CoreData, CoreGraphics and CoreAnimation
  • Solid experience in performance and memory analysis using Instruments
  • Experience in test-driven development and associated frameworks: OCUnit, OCMock, Kiwi.
  • Adheres to Neiman Marcus’ architecture, design, and coding standards and practices, especially around security, scalability, re-usability, and testability
  • High level understanding of business flow, feature usage/priority, and product strategy
  • Experience building applications to work with distributed systems
  • Organized and self-motivated with an ability to prioritize and manage workload&
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to use them in consensus building and collaboration
  • Ability to innovate and adapt based on team needs
  • Education: BSCSE, MSCSE
